Ir Prof CF Lam is a pioneer in environmental engineering with over 30 years of experience in major public works, environmental planning and management, spanning infrastructure engineering, urban sustainable development, environmental protection and pollution control. A trailblazer in Hong Kong’s green transformation, he was among the first professionals accredited by both The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) and the Environmental Protection Department as Engineering EIA Professional as well as a recipient of the prestigious Cass Hayward Prize presented by The Institution of Structural Engineers. Over the years, his professional endeavours have converged across leadership roles within professional bodies, postgraduate education and expert testimony for complex engineering compliance. Committed to advancing the industry and knowledge transfer, he remains dedicated to contributing to our shared sustainable future.
- Infrastructure Strategy: Contributed to the planning, formulation and management of Hong Kong’s public infrastructure and environmental policies
- Multi-disciplinary Delivery: Spearheaded critical milestones in large-scale sewage treatment, waste management, civil and geotechnical engineering projects

- Academic Engagement: Teaches postgraduate environmental programmes as an adjunct professor at The University of Hong Kong and a lecturer at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology with a distinguished teaching award, driven by a lifelong passion for education
